Introduction
Cherrish quality time with your family on an adventure-filled sailing trip full of fun, action and new experiences together. Dolphin and turtle spotting, cave swim, snorkelling.
This holiday is relaxing and hands-off for parents. It is very accessible, safe, and well organised, and no experience is necessary. With each day designed for families there is a mix of onboard and onshore experiences throughout the holiday. At no stage will you be wondering how to occupy the kids.
There is time to sit, read, sleep and do nothing, deck space to lay in the sun, a canopy to shade from the sun, marvellous coves where we drop anchor and swim, moments for spotting dolphins and turtles, and the town of Korcula with narrow lanes and ‘old buildings’ to explore and soft cultural experiences. The sailing distances are short which means we have the time to learn to sail, and daily departure times are your decision, but recommended to be from 10.00am-12.30pm to do everything on the itinerary.
Every yacht has its own personal Skipper.
What discounts are available?

Highlights
DAY 1 SATURDAY - DUBROVNIK TO SUDURAD
We depart on day 1 with enough time for a family dip before our Welcome dinner at the 300 year old Olive Press Restaurant on Sudurad. The konoba is on the seaside of this tiny village overlooking the fishing boats. We have our specially reserved tables joined so you can meet the other families.
Marvel at the antique olive presses inside. The restaurant owner last brought the family in to operate the old press the traditional way in 1986. This Island was in the Guinness Book of Records for the highest concentration of olive trees for the area.
First meal: D - Onshore
Docking: Fishing Harbour - Walk On/Off as you wish
DAY 2 SUNDAY - SUDURAD TO POMENA
Today is the natural adventure day - we are en route to a Blue cave you can swim into. After that the more adventurous can climb to the 2, 5 or 10 metre level for some rock jumping. Bring your Go Pro or your friendly skipper will video you from the boat. Afterwards we're looking out for turtles before arriving at the Blue Lagoon and our National Park harbour for the evening. The Tour Manager will inform you about what there is to see and do here, and let you know about dinner.

DAY 3 MONDAY - POMENA TO KORCULA OLD TOWN
Wake for traditional holiday time - reading, swimming, meeting your friends, or go explore the National Park on foot or cycle. Take the boat to the small Island you'll find the 18th Century Monastery on. This afternoon we sail into the exclusive Korcula Old Town Marina to wander this fortressed medieval city as a family. You have all the typical holiday things available here - beach, pool, moped hire, and all evening to do as you wish. The skipper is looking after your yacht, and you are only 2 minutes walk from the historic city. For any families that have been or are going to Venice after Croatia, Korcula is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo.
This town is very much your classic European city with narrow lanes throughout, shaped in a fishbone layout - designed this way for the prevailing wind direction to flush the town of evil spirits. You can climb the clock tower, visit the museums and select from a range of food - from pastas and risottos, sushi, pizza on the boat, noodles, or Croatian street food (cevapcici). Note: the teens often get together for pizza in a local restaurant or on the boats.

DAY 4 TUESDAY - KORCULA OLD TOWN TO LUMBARDA
This morning it's sailing fun in the Korcula channel before arriving at Lumbarda Marina in the afternoon where there's a Beach Club with inflatables, massage, windsurfing, paddle boarding and jet skiing. Decide the day and departure time with your skipper.
An exclusive evening is available. This excursion is for the whole family with teens/children provided complimentary juice. It includes the speedboat/winery tour/wine tasting/dinner/+all transport to our off the beaten track restaurant up in the mountains.
B - Onboard, L - Onboard, D - Onshore
Docking: Lumbarda Marina - Walk On/Off as you wish
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY - LUMBARDA TO POLACE (Anchor Night)
Wake to a morning swim at the beach accessed between the vineyards or get active on the activities mentioned above.
Your family decides when you want to leave Lumbarda. There is only a short sail down to Polace - a turquoise blue lagoon-like bay with picturesque Carribean-esque shallows for swimming in. It's a breathtaking entrance.
Bring your mattress! Tonight is the ideal sleep-out night so bring all of your pillows, matresses and bedding up on deck to fall asleep under the stars. Download your astronomy app and track the constellations. We have a special arrangement for dinner this evening - onshore where our local family cook at an outdoor Croatian barbeque.
The adventure is arriving to dinner by dinghy (a small second boat with engine).
It's a private and truly memorable location.

Docking: Anchored for Sleep out Night - Dinghy to Shore
DAY 6 THURSDAY - POLACE TO SIPANSKA LUKA
A reluctant departure again today, but it's always great leaving and knowing you want to stay longer instead of the other way around! From one gorgeous spot to another - we have a sandy beach in store for you and a meandering green tree-lined sail between the islets into Sipanska Luka and our final Island stop of the holiday. This fishing village is well known for its catch of the day and famous for sunsets and al fresco dining.
B - Onboard, L - Onboard, D - Onshore
Docking: Fishing Village - Walk On/Off as you wish
DAY 7 FRIDAY - SIPAN LUKA TO DUBROVNIK
Wander down to the farmers market beside the bocce lanes. This is an enjoyable place among the palm trees to trade a few kuna for fresh fruit for the day. We sail to Kolocep for lunch and the final touches to the tan and set sail for the marina taking in the fabulous Dubrovnik coastline.
On arrival organise your time here as you'd like. There is a swimming pool within the marina grounds and a pool-side restaurant or take-out. If seeing Dubrovnik Old Town at night is of interest, you're 15 minutes away. You can also decide for your boat to return to the marina earlier and have the full day in Dubrovnik. It's to decide on the day with your personal skipper.

" It is rare to say that something has exceeded expectation, but this week aboard our yacht has 🙂 An amazing time spent with my family with teenager, a wonderful skipper and on top of all this we met some fantastic new people who are now friends. Tony matched the three boats perfectly and our daily /evening activities were superb. Our skipper was an important part of the team - great fun and big brother to our daughter. I look forward to sailing again with Getaway Sailing. "
