"Always wanted to sail around the Greek Islands on a yacht? Who hasn’t? Come and live the dream. We have chosen some stunning islands to visit on our sailing trip out of Athens. Every day will include a swim stop in beautiful secluded bays where we will have lunch and relax, probably with a cold beer in hand. We sail each afternoon to a different island with some free time to explore as you wish. In the evening we all dine together, usually al fresco and may even sing and dance a little too!"

FRIDAY - PRESAIL EVENING, ATHENS

We have an optional pre trip get together dinner on the Friday night before setting sail on the Saturday. We will meet in a panoramic restaurant directly opposite our departure marina. The views out to sea and the sunset are simply stunning from here. The Hotel has an open air Sky Bar to continue mingling if you wish following dinner. This is entirely optional but a lovely way to start your trip.

SATURDAY - ATHENS TO AEGINA

We meet to check in at Alimos Marina and set sail to our first island arriving late afternoon. With fertile land and wall to wall sunshine Aegina grows excellent pistachio nuts. It is also famous for the ancient Temple of Aphaias. The Temple is a short panoramic taxi drive up through the mountains passing the impressive monastery of Agios Nektarios. The views from the top are simply breathtaking. Wander along the bustling harbour watching the fishing boats bringing in their daily catch. A traditional rustic taverna with live Greek music is where we will eat under the stars. It’s a lively evening, often ending up dancing in the cobbled street of the Taverna!

SUNDAY - AEGINA TO POROS

Take time to walk around the narrow streets of Aegina and buy fresh produce, nuts and olives from the pretty floating market boats. We set sail for Poros taking in the beautiful views of the Greek coastline. Poros is built in the shape of an amphitheatre over two hills. It has a beautiful lively waterfront and is a stunning sight as your yacht approaches the harbour. It is a protected settlement with grand traditional mansions and picturesque cobbled streets. Look out for the multicoloured little fishing boats bringing in their nets. Local cats sit alongside hoping to get thrown some food. It’s classic Greek picture postcard stuff! We dine in a friendly, family run taverna in the back streets. We have been known to lead the Greek dancing around the taverna, encouraged by the owners who love to share the tradition of dancing after dinner.

MONDAY - POROS TO ERMIONI

Ermioni is a small coastal town constructed on the hill slopes around a beautiful port. Many Athenians have holiday homes here as it is such a beautiful place. Go for a refreshing and scenic walk amongst the fields of pomegranates, citrus fruits and olive groves scattered amongst old windmills or watch the world go by lounging at one of the harbourside cocktail bars. The quaint cobblestone streets have been inhabited since 3000 BC and are relatively unspoiled today. We dine this evening in a taverna overlooking the panoramic Aegean Sea.

TUESDAY - ERMIONI TO HYDRA

Dhokos is a beautiful island west of Hydra. The large bay is a favourite lunch stop of ours. We will stop here to swim, have lunch and soak up the beautiful surroundings of the Bay. Sailing into Hydra you may notice there are no cars on the Island, everything and everybody moves around on Donkeys! Hydra, beautiful, laid back and tranquil. Lots of lovely little back streets to explore and a delightful coastal walk with fabulous views. Jewellery shops line the town's horseshoe shaped bay. Relax early evening with a cocktail at one of the rock face bars. This evening we will dine at a stunning sea front location with spectacular views. It’s a short walk but it is possible to take a water taxi around the bay to get there if you wish to arrive in style.

WEDNESDAY - HYDRA TO PERDIKA

Perdika enchants visitors with its simple traditional charm. Famous for its’ small fishing village and markets. You are guaranteed to wine and dine on a delicious fresh catch of the day or other traditional Greek cuisine. Tavernas line the harbour front providing a variety of refreshments and entertainment before and after dinner.

THURSDAY - PERDIKA TO BEACH BBQ

From Perdika we sail to a secluded anchorage hidden away near Agistri Island. Swim in the crystal clear waters towards the beach cafe onshore or simply relax on the yacht. Today we will take you to our lovely secret location for an evening beach barbeque. Join your new friends as we relax with a few beers, a glass of chilled wine and enjoy traditional chargrilled Souvlaki and salad. We will anchor beneath the sunset and open sky. If we have any musicians on board this is the night to get those instruments out so we can sing to our heart’s content, making this a memorable and special last night at sea.

FRIDAY - BEACH BBQ TO ATHENS

Our final day will be spent sailing back to Athens, stopping to swim and have lunch in one of our favourite swim stops. We return to the marina late afternoon. Join us for the last social supper at a nearby restaurant as we swap tales of our adventures, exchange contact details of new found friends and of course plan your trip to return next year!

If you wish you can head out to explore Athens if you have not had a chance to do so before. If you need to check out Friday evening just let us know.
