During your 7 days sailing with us, we stop for daily swim stops in picturesque bays, have relaxing lunches, and take in the amazing scenery you can only experience from a boat. Each evening you will have some free time to soak up the laid back life that is Croatia. This is our Taste of Croatia itinerary, a reference to a taste of the islands and to our love of Croatian food. Taste of Croatia collage

We welcome you to check in then we leave the marina sailing under the impressive Franjo Tudman Bridge, heading for the gorgeous and unspoilt Elafiti Islands. Our first evening we eat in a traditional konoba (restaurant) looking out to sea. This charming konoba still houses an ancient olive oil press; a stone wheel turned by donkeys to crush the olives. Wake up in time for a morning swim and a walk around this picturesque village, find classic Croatian homes made from the sand coloured stone that is typical of this region.

Today we set sail for the island of Mljet sailing on the 'road less travelled' outside of the Island, stopping for a unique Cave swim at Ulysses Cave en route. Arriving at Pomena in the afternoon, we moor in front of our amazing fresh fish restaurant where you will be served by the fisherman who caught your supper! Round off the evening with a walk around the bay to a waterfront cocktail bar. Tomorrow morning you have the time to enjoy the salt water lakes in the heart of Mljet National Park. This can be reached in a 15 minute walk or an energetic cycle ride. It is a stunning area of natural beauty and well worth the effort to explore.

After a morning explore of the national park, it’s on to Korcula, the reputed birthplace of Marco Polo. Korcula is a vibrant, exciting place, a mini fortress enclosed with honey coloured stone walls. Around the city walls you will find many bars and coffee shops where you can sit and watch the world go by. We arrive early to enjoy everything this island has to offer. Meander the labyrinth of the old towns' narrow streets, delightful to get lost along the way. Aim to find your way to the gothic renaissance building of St Marks Cathedral. There are many historical buildings to view and explore and boutiques and galleries with locally produced arts and crafts. All this, set amongst spectacular scenery and a backdrop of dense pine tree forests. Round off the afternoon by sipping cocktails at the trendy Bar Massimo. This exquisite cocktail bar is situated high up a narrow castle-like staircase in the old guard tower right on the waterfront with spectacular sunset views out to sea. In the evening you may like to watch the traditional Moreska Sword Dance, performed on this island since the 17th Century.

Korcula in the morning is a unique experience. Not as much hustle and bustle as in the evening so take a morning wander and enjoy taking uninterrupted photos. We then set sail out to one of the best areas of sailing in Croatia. Sailing in these waters offers a different perspective of the stunning coastline, whilst enjoying the favourable sailing conditions in this section of the Korcula Channel. Take the helm or sit back and enjoy the ride. If you love to sail, today is a great day! After mooring the yachts, we have a very special evening planned. We leave the island by water taxi and invite you to indulge your palette for some wine tasting in the most stunning location. After sampling wines looking directly out to sea, we take you up into the hills to a rustic restaurant setting with stunning views across to Korcula and some of the islands we have visited. Try the walnut, raisin or herb rakija (local Brandy) as an apéritif then taste a delicious Croatian dish called Peka, which consists of seafood or meat. Tonight’s night cap is at the sandy beach bar close to our yachts.

Enjoy a relaxing sail along the Peljesac Coast and swim in the turquoise sea at todays' amazing swim stop. It’s across to Polace to complete your exploration of the national park. Hire a moped, kayak around the bay, cycle into the park or take a ride on the park bus. Once in the park visit the small island of St Marija's 12th Century Benedictine Monastery via a small boat trip. Dine at our favourite al fresco restaurant in Polace serving fresh seafood and other traditional Croatian delicacies. Watch your freshly caught fish or steak cooked on the large grill by the chef whilst looking out onto the beautiful bay.

Today we enjoy a leisurely sail to a charming fishermen's village. Stretch your legs to walk to a tiny beach bar where you can take an afternoon swim. If we have musicians onboard bring along your instruments this evening. This family run konoba is in a picturesque setting in the corner of this stunning bay. End the evening in the harbourside cocktail bar, possibly dancing the night away under the stars.

Wake up and treat yourself to a cooked breakfast at one of the waterfront cafes. We then sail towards Kolocep where we will swim, lunch and add the final touches to the tan. We set sail to return to the marina taking in the fabulous Dubrovnik coastline. We have our last evening dinner in the marina to exchange contact numbers and to share the memories of your trip.

Check out from the yacht (if you need to check out Friday evening just let us know). We say a fond farewell and leave you to continue to explore this great city of Dubrovnik or fly to wherever your home may be.
