Blue Cave Split: 7 nights / 8 days - Hvar - Vis - Blue Caves - Komiza - Brac - Solta

Introduction

Opened to the public in 1884 the Blue Cave is one of the biggest attractions in Croatia. It has an intense blue effect during the summer from 9 AM to 4 PM but the ideal moment to visit it is between 11 AM and noon. This phenomenon happens because sunlight reflects through the water illuminating the cave inside with aquamarine light while objects in the water are filled with a silver glow.

The Cave was formed by the wave action of the sea and it was originally accessible only by diving, but an artificial entrance was made for smaller boats. Its important to know that if winds are too strong it is NOT possible to enter the cave because entrance to the cave is small. Swimming is also not permissable because the cave is protected.

While you stay on Vis you can also explore other attractions, some of them are hidden Stiniva beach which was named the top beach in Europe for 2016, Green Cave, abandoned submarine tunnel and military tunnels, Mount Hum – highest location on the island with breathtaking panoramic view and many more hidden bays and beaches.

After Vis we are sailing for Hvar. You will visit the world famous Hvar Town, top summer destination in Croatia, if you are a history lover you can visit Spanish Fortress above Hvar Town and experience amazing view from the top. Want to party? Hvar is the party capital of Croatian summers and there is a plenty of beach clubs and cocktail bars

Make sure to check our Day by day page for more information on what you can do for every day during your adventure.
